Terms and conditions



These general conditions of sale are applicable to private customers for the www.korijewels.com website. They are regulated by the consumer code (D.Lgs.n. 206/2005 and s.m.mi) and by the regulations concerning online sales (Legislative Decree n. 70/2003 and s.m.mi) and apply exclusively to this website. Any order relating to a product that appears in the online shop on the www.korijewels.com website implies  the acceptance of these terms and conditions. Therefore, the consumer acknowledges that he is fully aware that his agreement with the contents of these terms and conditions does not require the handwritten signature of this document, if the  customer wants to order the products presented in the context of the website’s shop online. These terms and conditions may be subject to change. In this case, the applicable conditions will be those in force on the site at the date of the order. The company KORI JEWELS of SV has its registered office in Bologna, in P. Canonici 8, and is registered with VAT  number 03726531209. Its reference phone number is 3756319599. Its reference emails are: customercare @ korijewels.com; info@korijewels.com.

Article 1: definitions

These general conditions express all the obligations of the parties. In this sense, it is assumed that the consumer accepts without reservation all the clauses of these terms and conditions of sale. KORI JEWELS undertakes to respect its role as a seller under these conditions.

Article 2: object of the contract

The purpose of these general terms and conditions is to define the rights and obligations of the parties in relation to the online sale of goods offered by KORI JEWELS to the consumer.

Article 3: product information

KORI JEWELS presents on its website the products for sale with the necessary characteristics required by the consumer code, which provides the possibility, for the potential consumer, to know in advance the purchase of the essential characteristics of the products he wants to buy. The offers presented by KORI JEWELS are valid only within the limits of available stocks. KORI JEWELS reserves the right to change the product offer. The offered products comply with the legislation and rules applicable in Italy. The photos, text and graphic information are non-contractual.

Article 4: avaibility of product

All products that can be ordered on www.korijewels.com and are available at the warehouse. Each ordered item is automatically deducted from the warehouse. When a product is sold out, it is referred to as “sold out”. In case of unavailability of the product ordered as a result of an inventory error, the consumer will be informed as soon as possible and will have the possibility to cancel his order under the conditions established by the Consumer Code. The consumer will therefore have the possibility to request the refund of the sums paid within 30 days at most from their payment, or with an exchange of product at an equivalent price, if KORI JEWELS is able to supply it. In case of impossibility of exchange, KORI JEWELS reserves the right to cancel the order of the customer and to refund the amount paid.

Article 5: confirmation of order

Purchases can be made online following the procedure indicated, adding the selected products to the cart and providing the payment data and confirming them. Once the purchase is completed, the order will be confirmed automatically with a reference order number. After that will follow an email from the customer service providing the trucking number to track the package.

Article 6: prices

All prices on the website are in EURO and the price is final including VAT. The selling price is the one that is offered when the consumer validates the order and which is visible on the web page at the time of purchase. It does not include the shipping costs, unless specified differently, the free shipping free in Italy  is over 49 Euro, in the EU, Swiss and Norway, over 99Euro and rest of the world over 200 Euro. The price is final and complete. It can never be considered a deposit or part of payment.

Article 7: payment

We accept all credit cards and paypal, as  shown in the final process of the cart. The consumer guarantees to KORI JEWELS that he has the necessary authorizations to use the payment method chosen by, during the validation of the purchase order. KORI JEWELS reserves the right to suspend the management of orders and any delivery in case of refusal of authorization to pay by credit card by officially accredited institutions or in case of non-payment. KORI JEWELS reserves the right to refuse to make a delivery or to honor an order from a consumer who has not fully paid or a previous order or with whom a payment dispute is in progress. The consumer must take into consideration that KORI JEWELS can not be held responsible for misappropriation or fraudulent use of any means of payment.

Article 8: shipping and costs

The products are delivered to the address given by the consumer in the order form. KORI JEWELS delivers throughout the Italian territory and all over the world. In Italy there is free shipping for orders over 49 euros. Shipping costs under € 49 are for standard delivery € 5. Orders will be processed within 24 hours after confirmation of the customer care by email. Standard shipping in Italy usually takes 1 business day after confirming the order, therefore approximately 2 days from the time the order is placed, while for remote areas and islands up to 48-72 hours from the day after confirming the order . We use the SDA courier with tracking number for the customer.  In the EU, Swiss and Norway area we use GLS courier and there is free shipping for expenses over 99 Euro and the delivery takes 3-5 working days with tracking number for the client. Below the 99 Euro shipping is 15 Euro.For the rest of the world we use DHL courier and there is free shipping over 200 Euro and takes 5- 7 days. Below 200 Euro the customer will find at the check out the price depending on the location. In Italy in cases of non-delivery the courier will make a second delivery. Should the second attempt not successful, the package will return to the sender who will apply any storage costs and possible secondary shipping costs. The customer must verify the completeness and compliance of the information provided to KORI JEWELS. This cannot be held responsible for any input errors and the consequences in terms of delay or delivery error. In this context, all costs incurred for the return of the order will be entirely on the customer. KORI JEWELS cannot be held responsible for delays in delivery due to errors or interruptions of transport (total or partial strike including postal services and / or communications). The consumer is required to check the conditions of the packaging of the goods at the time of delivery and report the damage done to the courier on the delivery order, as well as to KORI JEWELS as soon as possible within two working days. In the UE and rest of the world the package will be sent to the closest courier office and fees can apply depending on the location.  For the custom fees that might also apply outside the UE please send an email to the customer service to know more about your location.

Article 9: withdrawals

In Italy in the case of non-delivery for the absent recipient, the delivery (FREE) of the shipment is carried out the following day, pending instructions. An email will be send from the customer service. The shipment can be released by the customer through the appropriate functionality available via the link shown in the email. Storage costs are calculated / invoiced as follows:

– Withdrawals at the relevant branch is FREE for the first 3 days of storage.

– The return to the recipient within the first 3 days is FREE.

– The return to the sender has a cost of € 5.00 + VAT.

– The return to a new recipient has a cost of € 1.98 + VAT

– If the choice is made after 3 working days from being in storage, these costs will be added to the following: the 4th day is charged an amount of € 1.98 + VAT.

– From the 5th to the 15th day the costs of daily storage are charged according to the following tariff: 0.99 € + VAT per day for shipping. After the 15 days of storage, once the costs of the delay have been paid, the shipment will be returned to the sender with the payment of any storage costs plus shipping costs. If the payment of the release is not made within the term of the stock, an additional penalty equal to 50 € + VAT will be charged, plus any Logistics costs. The goods will be retained until the payment of all the costs of storage more penal. If the client does not intend to comply with the related costs within 30 days, the shipper will be able to exercise the right of retention, also by proceeding with the deposit and sale of the goods, of the usual judicial actions to protect his credit. Outside of Italy it will be delivered to the closest office of the courier and depending on the country fees might apply.

Article 10: responsability

KORI JEWELS assumes no responsibility for the disservices that may be attributed to force majeure and to cases in which there are problems caused by malfunctions of the Internet or damages done to the package by the courier. In this case, communicate immediately with the customer care that will indicate what to do.

Article 11: shipping issues due to courier

Any anomalies related to the delivery (damage, missing product, damaged package, broken products) must imperatively written on the courier’s delivery sheet, along with the customer’s signature.

Article 12: return policy and refund

KORI JEWELS carefully checks all the items before sending them, to check their conformity and quality, especially being all our items are handcrafted and that the material is of natural origin. The Consumer Code D. lgs. n. 206/2005 provides that the consumer can withdrow the order or unilaterally withdraw from the contract concluded at distance for the purchase of products and services within 14 days from the day on which he received the purchased good, communicating this willingness to the seller through the means provided (article 54 of Legislative Decree No. 206/2005), in this case by registered letter with return receipt. Please note that the calculation of the 14 days for the exercise of the right of withdrawal is starting from the day following in which you receive the product and counting the last day, the 14th.  From the exercise of the withdrawal, then, the consumer will have 14 days to send back the goods received and will have to pay the relative shipping costs. KORI JEWELS will refund within 14 days of the notification of withdrawal using the same method  of payment used for the original transaction, unless it has been expressly agreed by the customer for the use of a different method  such as a credit note to spend on the website www.korijewels.comExclusions. The right of withdrawal is excluded for the products listed in article L.221-28 of the Consumer Code, as customized products. In any case shipping costs are not refundable. The exchange for a new item will have a new shipping cost. The exchange with another article is subject to the availability of the new article requested. For each return, follow the following  procedure:

– Send email to customercare@korijewels.com telling that you intend to return an article and, if possible (optional), also tell the reason.

– Wait for the email back that will send the form to be filled and instructions on how to proceed to send the return.

If we receive the good and the conditions required for the return are not found, this can no longer be exchanged for another.


Remember that the imperfections of the vegetable ivory are unique of the product itself and therefore part of the design itself,  and to be considered the uniqueness and not a flow of the product. Only in case the product was broken in pieces immediately contact the customer care and you will be asked to kindly send the photo of the product with the damage before making the return. The customer care will tell how to proceed. To be able to send back a product, remember that:

  • Please send all the items you wish to return from an order in the same shipment to ensure that the return is done as soon as possible.
  • The jewel must not be worn; must be in the same condition in which it was received, including packaging.
  • The original item tags should not be removed.

Article 13: force meajure

Neither party will have failed in its contractual obligations, as their execution is delayed, hindered or prevented by a fortuitous event or force majeure.

Any event  beyond the control of the parties and which cannot be avoided by them, shall be considered a fortuitous event or force majeure, despite all reasonably possible efforts such as strike of method of transport or supplies, earthquakes, fires, storms, floods, lightning, shutdown of telecommunication networks or specific difficulties of telecommunication networks external to customers.

Article 14: applicable law

The Italian law is applicable. In the event of a dispute, the client is informed that he can resort to conventional mediation or any other alternative dispute resolution solution. In the event of a dispute or complaint, the consumer can opt for a friendly solution.

Article 15: intellectual property

All texts, comments, works, illustrations and images reproduced on www.korijewels.com are reserved for copyrights and intellectual property rights and for the whole world. Any total or partial reproduction of the www.korijewels.com website is strictly prohibited.

Article 16: conformity of products

The KORI JEWELS jewels are entirely handmade by our artisans  in Ecuador. It is very important to keep in mind how to take care of the vegetable ivory to avoid damage to your jewellery and not to ruin its appearance and color. Keep in mind that is a natural material and there are no two perfectly identical pieces. Check the  “Product Care” section as soon as purchased. The products are all quality checked  before being shipped and the imperfections of vegetable ivory are the uniqueness of the product itself and therefore to be considered as uniqueness and not flows. We will not be able to repair jewels that have not followed the right recommended maintenance rules. Nevertheless, if something happens to your KORI jewel, we will make every effort to repair or replace the jewelelry purchased directly from our website in the last twelve months, after checking the invoice, assessing the problem and requesting the buyer. Items purchased outside the twelve months will be evaluated for paid repairing.

Article 17: repairing

We will inform you of any repair costs for your approval before sending the product for repairing. If you need a repair, contact by email at customercare@korijewels.com with the original invoice, a brief description of the problem along with the photos of the article. We will provide further instructions within a week. If you can make a repair, the process will take about four weeks from the date we receive it, since in most cases the jewel will be send to our artisans  in Ecuador.
